The Constructing Our World Conference 2021 happening virtually on 8-9 Dec 2021 is themed “Pivoting towards a Greater Resilience”. Asian cities are projected to contribute over half the global greenhouse gas in the next 20 years. Unless
radical changes are taken, low-lying, coastal cities will be deeply affected by climate change. With the
urban population growing to 90 million by 2030, the increasing power consumption, waste generation
and more will therefore require stakeholders to play a part to mitigate the impeding disasters.

With Singapore green bond market standing at >$S6 billion today, the country is well positioned to
enable more green bonds to enable the building of green buildings, catalyse the creation of renewable
